Logitech’s Mac software comes in the form of what’s called Control Center, a utility that’s used to configure your Logitech mice and keyboards. Seeing as how Logitech is one of the most popular accessory manufacturers around, we’re guessing a lot of OS X Yosemite users are using Logitech equipment, but they’ll soon come to find out that Control Center doesn’t install on Yosemite. When downloading the Logitech Control Center software and installing it, you’ll get an error that says the software isn’t compatible with your OS X version, and it’ll fail to install. However, there’s a neat little loophole that allows you to install the Logitech software on OS X Yosemite without a problem. SETUP BUTTON CONFIGURATION LOGITECH MOUSE MAC OS INSTALL UPDATE: When visiting Logitech’s website to download Control Center, you’ll see two download links: One says “Logitech Control Center” and the other says “Logitech Control Center for Macintosh OS X”. SETUP BUTTON CONFIGURATION LOGITECH MOUSE MAC OS INSTALLīe sure to choose the first option, as that will give you the latest version which works with OS X Yosemite (3.9.1) and you’ll be able to skip the workaround, while the second link will give you the older version (3.5.1) that will require the workaround.5.8 Copy iPhone Music to iTunes with Ratings, Play Counts.2.6 Backup iPhone Music to Your Computer/iTunes.2.1 Music and Playlists from iPhone to Computer.1.8 Music from One Computer to Mutiple iPhones. If you want to transfer music directly to your iTunes Library, you should spend a few bucks to upgrade to PodTrans Pro. So if you’re going to try it, you’ll have to add songs from your computer to your iTunes Library manually. Like SynciOS, it only copy music from your iPod to computer, not to iTunes Library. W it supports the latest iPod nano 7 and iPod touch 5. It’s specially developed for iPod users to transfer music from PC to iPod and vice versa. PodTrans is a Senuti Equivalent for Windows users. You can try it to see whether your Apple device is supported or not. I don’t find info on its website for support iTunes 12 and the latest iOS 10. After using SynciOS iPod transfer to get music on your PC, you’ll need to add them to your iTunes Library. But it can’t transfer music and playlists directly to iTunes Library. It helps users to transfer media files, like music, podcasts, video, iTunes U, etc. SynciOS iPod Transfer, as its name implies, it is a Senuti for Windows program as well. Senuti for PC Transfer – SynciOS iPod Transfer You can download the free trial version to see how it works on Windows PC! How amazing it is! It supports all iPods, iPhones and iPads based on iOS 5 and later. Moreover, if users installed Wondershare TunesGo on a computer which is not the one that used to sync with users iPhone or iPod, users can put music directly to the iPhone or iPod without erasing the original data. And Wondershare TunesGo allows users to copy songs, playlists, videos, iTunes U, Podcasts, photos, and more to users’ computer. But, besides that, TunesGo allows users to copy music and playlists with ratings, play counts, and artwork, etc. Why do I say that? Wondershare TunesGo functions similar as Senuti – recovering music and playlists from iPod and iPhone, getting them back to iTunes Library. The Best Senuti for Windows Pro is Wondershare TunesGo. Best Senuti for Windows Tool – Wondershare TunesGo Rover Songs from iPod, iPad and iPhone with Senuti for Windows Senuti for Windows Program– Wondershare TunesGo Fortunately, there are several choices you can choose from. If you’re a Windows user, you can’t use the Mac version Senuti, but a Windows Senuti program. However, Senuti now only runs in Mac OS X 10.3 and later. To be frankly, it’s a must for iPod and iPhone users to hand music. Developed in 2004, it has helped millions of users to get music from iPods and iPhones back to iTunes Library. Senuti is a little but helpful tool to help users recover music, playlists, and videos from iPods and iPhones.

Fonda is the bold, free spirit who makes the first move and breaks the ice in forging a relationship while Redford is the staid, uptight worrier who sneaks in Addie’s backdoor so people don’t talk. One thing that I appreciate about the script, besides how most of the creakiest of old-age clichés are avoided-OK, Louis jokingly says “What?” on the phone while talking to daughter Holly ( Judy Greer) when she brings up the topic of hearing aids-is that echoes of their “Barefoot in the Park” roles are imprinted on this couple. But this steady-as-it-goes approach to a senior snuggling has its ups and downs, too. Weber, who were responsible for penning two of the best teen weep-athons of recent vintage, “ The Spectacular Now” and “ The Fault in Our Stars.” The hormonal surges in “Our Souls at Night” aren’t quite the rollercoaster ride they are in those adolescent affairs. Even better, it is adapted by writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. There are banjos on the soundtrack, majestic mountain scenery and the Highwaymen on the radio. And at their ages-Cat Ballou turns 80 later this year and the Sundance Kid hit 81 last month-they have everything to gain and nothing to lose by becoming a twosome at this autumnal stage in life, much like Addie and Louis.īased on a novel by Kent Haruf and directed by Ritesh Batra (“The Lunchbox”), the setting is what one would imagine if Bedford Falls existed in cowboy country. He and Fonda boast a combined 114 years of acting experience, and appeared together in two lesser films in the ‘60s, "Tall Story" and “ The Chase,” as well as “ The Electric Horseman” in 1979. Just like widow Addie and widower Louis, neighbors in a cozy Colorado town whose paths have crossed now and then over the years, the two stars possess a certain ease and unspoken rapport when in each other’s presence, even if Redford’s character initially is somewhat taken aback by the idea of senior citizen sleepovers. When Louis narrates his past affair that almost ended his marriage, he does not seem sorrowful but almost okay with how things turned out, as if it were inevitable.A half-century ago, this legendary pair were a couple of kooky unshod newlyweds doing Neil Simon shtick in the marital lark “Barefoot in the Park.” Now they are reunited thanks to Netflix, which has been fond of Fonda ever since she and her “ Nine to Five” buddy Lily Tomlin teamed up as unlikely roomies on the sitcom “Grace and Frankie.” So are the most neighbors who eye Louis when he leaves in the morning from Addie’s place. Addie and Louis are both relatable, and so are their kids who are pretty shocked at their romance. The best thing about this book is the characterization. This happens to be one of them." love this! "There are a few books that take you deep into their world and detach you from reality. They look at it with a sense of being at peace with whatever has come to pass and show hope for the future that holds good things, if not the best. You would expect a book like this to be melancholy, but it truly is not even though often they reminisce their past which has not been the best. What follows is their nights together when they sleep, talk and reflect upon the past. Sleeping together in the companionship of old age seems like a perfect fit for both of them. True, lonely have they both been after the demise of their respective spouses. Wonder if that truly is the case?įilmPack 5elite is just as Viewpoint a standalone (you can open rawfiles and it uses basic conversion.) and integrated in PhotoLab. Based on the low number of replies to this thread, it appears that not very many people use FilmPack. Oddly enough, by the time I get home at 7:30-ish at night after spending half a day with her, fix supper, tidy the house, play with the cat etc., I don't have much energy left to spend on in-depth learning and trial usage of a new software application!! I will do the "free trial" thing, but need to wait until my wife is out of the hospital (she had her hip joint replaced June 16, and is now in the extended care wing of the hospital undergoing physical therapy until July 5th). When filmpack is installed you get new rendering packs and generally do not go into filmpack plugin itself which is the path you take if you use lightroom or something else for raw conversion Plus, if I get a decent software package, I can use it to process old files from the past 15 years or so something the Fuji camera wouldn't be able to do.įilmpack works on TIFF files is not a RAW converter so the workflow is to use Photolab first then either call the rendering from there or using the plug in if you want to access additional effects I realize I could switch over to Fuji and get the simulations "for free", but somehow the idea of spending a hundred-ish bucks on software seems cheaper than a new camera and lenses. If you have suggestions as to other film simulation type products, that would be nice too. Thanks very much for any help you may be able to provide. Nor have I been able to find whether I can use FilmPack 5 with PhotoLab 4Ĭan anyone tell me whether I can use FilmPack to process my G9 files? And hopefully, as a plugin to PhotoLab? I'd like to get FilmPack 5 Elite, but I cannot find anywhere that positively states FilmPack 5 will process the Pany G9 RAW files. I have the latest versions of DxO PhotoLab 4 and ViewPoint 3. So, I figured a question or two to this forum might be in order. After Googling around for half an hour, I was not able to find the info I'm after. Represented by rectangles directly attached to arrow heads. N/A - currently it's not possible to collect telemetry data to visualize message handlers. Represented by a black rectangle with a white "play" icon. However, due to technical limitations and specifics related to messaging systems, the sequence diagram in ServiceInsight has some notable differences: Item The language used in the sequence diagram is largely modeled after the standard defined by UML sequence diagrams. The sequence diagram does not currently support visualization of the time at which the timeout message was sent back, and will only indicate when it was processed. The time of processing may not correspond to the time at which a timeout message was sent back for processing by the timeout message scheduler. These arrows are shown in the order in which those messages were sent or published. If the endpoint received more than one message of that type, the specific message being processed may be seen by hovering over or selecting the processing box.Ī message arrow shown leaving a processing box represents an outgoing message that was sent or published while processing the incoming message. This is represented by a box on the endpoint lifeline labelled with the message type. Some time after a message is received, it is processed by the receiving endpoint. Right-clicking on a message label shows actions related to that message. The arrow always points from the sending endpoint to the receiving endpoint. When a message is sent, a solid arrow is drawn from the lifeline of the sending endpoint to the lifeline of the receiving endpoint, labelled with the message type. The diagram will show only the last 50 messages from the conversation, and this may not include the initiating message. It can also happen if the number of messages in the conversation is very large. This can happen if the conversation started a long time ago and the initiating message has expired. The Start of Conversation marker may not always be visible. So if you need to tell people that you own a BMW you should say you have a “Bimmer” as it’s the correct term for a BMW car. “Bimmer” is the proper term for BMW automobiles. Whenever you say you have a “Beemer,” you’re showing the world the proud owner of a BMW motorcycle. During the 1970s, a magazine for BMW fans and a BMW club newsletter from Boston were called “Bimmer” in the US. Originally it was derived from “beemer” or “beamer,” two former names for BMW motorcycles that first appeared in the UK in the 1960s before spreading worldwide. The term “bimmer” was first used to describe a BMW in the United States. However, the proper name for BMW automobiles is “Bimmer,” whereas the terms “Beemer” and “Beamer” are used for BMW motorbikes. Beamer, Bimmer or Beemer?īimmer, Beemer, and Beamer all refer to automobiles manufactured by BMW. Initially, the Boston Chapter BMW Club used “Bimmer” in 1970. This was due to the growth of BMW sales in North America. It wasn’t long before Beemer became popular in the United States. This win was particularly noteworthy and ultimately contributed to the motorbike manufacturer gaining greater recognition. The term was initially used in Great Britain to differentiate BMW motorbikes from a local manufacturer known as “Beezer.” In the late 1930s, BMW became the first motorcycle company to be victorious in the Isle of Man TT races. The origin of these nicknames dates back to the late 1930s.Īccording to historical records, “Beamer” was the first of BMW’s three informal nicknames. So, where did the name come from?īimmer, Beemer, and Beamer are the three popular nicknames for BMW. BMW is no exception as it was named the beamer car. Mercedes-Benz was shortened to Merc, Volkswagen to Volksie, while Fiesta ST was shortened to Fist. This is particularly true in the automobile sector, where numerous automobile brands are referred to just by their abbreviations. About the “beamer car“ nickname originĪbbreviations and acronyms are commonly used to shorten words and phrases. However, their objective is to reach the market’s peak, which is characterized by intense rivalry among several competitors. They also offer several models aimed at the lower end of the market, such as the 2 series. The nickname “Beamer BMW” has been used to refer to all BMW cars ever since.īMW is exclusively dedicated to producing premium automobiles. The first Beamer car was made in 1927 and was called the Dixi. BMW is an abbreviation for Bayerische Motoren Werke, which translates to “Bavarian Motor Works” in German.Ī beamer is a nickname given to a car made by the BMW company. When it comes to automobiles, most of us learn as children about the leading three German manufacturers. There are three ways in which the verb “pedir” is presented that are not considered conjugations, those ways are called Verbals. Variety in its finest, isn’t it? But, looking at the glass half full, from four verbs in English, we went to just one in Spanish, easy peasy! Pedir: one verb, three verbalsīefore we start with the conjugations, let’s first go with a hack. You will notice that in Spanish we use this verb in several contexts, while in English we can see how it varies, here are a couple of common phrases and their equivalents to help you with the examples below: Many times, what can be scary about irregular verbs is having to memorize the variations in order to say it correctly, but we all make mistakes when we are learning something new, so the best thing to do is to practice as much as possible in real conversations to distinguish those conjugations that are more difficult, and to know where to make an effort. Pedir is an irregular verb, which means that we are going to see it change in several ways depending on the person who is saying it, and the moment in which they say it (the tenses). Whether you are in a restaurant or if you are a romantic who wants to ask for the hand of that girl if your purpose is to ask for any of these things (without fear of being wrong in Spanish) come and let’s learn how to conjugate this verb. Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to think of situations where you would have to consider ordering or asking. Spanish Training for Construction Workersĭownload as a PDF What’s easier, to ask for permission or to ask for forgiveness?: Conjugation of the verb PedirĪ few years ago, in a beauty pageant, this was one of the questions asked to a Miss: “What is easier, to ask for permission or to ask for forgiveness?” (in spanish: “Es mejor pedir perdón, que pedir permiso), I guess this kind of question takes a couple of minutes of internal debate to know what you would choose, but how long would it take you to formulate this same sentence in Spanish? How easy is it for you to conjugate the verb Pedir?.Spanish Training for Restaurant Managers.School Districts Spanish Tutoring Program.El año pasado les pedimos a mis padres que cuidaran de mi gato mientras estábamos de viaje – Last year we asked my parents if they could take care of my cat while we were on vacation.Īs you can see here, we’re asking for something, not asking a question.Tú pediste que dejara de hacer eso – To asked him to stop doing that. The most obvious usage of the irregular verb pedir is “to ask for”. Let’s look at some examples for both of those meanings in a bit more detail. But we’re going to see that you can use this in situations you might not have expected. In general, pedir can mean two things – to ask for and to request. Let’s practice specific ways to use the verb pedir in the preterite tense. With one small step, you’re taking a big dive into Spanish grammar. The great news is that by learning this rule for one conjugation, you’re learning an essential truth for all Spanish verbs. So since we say él / ella pidió, we use that same pid root to conjugate pedir in the past subjunctive. Subject Pronounĭo you notice any obvious patterns here? All past subjunctive forms have the same base as the third person for the preterite tense. Even if you aren’t comfortable using the subjunctive just yet, you’ll be one step ahead if you work on the conjugation chart now. Now that we’re already here, let’s take the opportunity real quick to try and memorize the past subjunctive conjugation. Since the preterite tense and the subjunctive share a similar root, the best thing to do is to practice both at the same time There’s a clear connection between the pretérito perfecto simple and the past subjunctive. This is just proof that you always need to be on the lookout when it comes to Spanish conjugation! Past Subjunctive Moodīefore we move on to the uses of pedir, we should do a quick review of the past subjunctive. So while you say tú pediste, it changes to él pidió. The only changes that are present are in the third person. So while most irregular verbs have a ton of changes in the preterite, the verb pedir is a bit more subtle with its irregularities. With that quick review out of the way, let’s move on to the fun part – the pedir conjugation in the preterite tense. Just beyond the structure is the Staging Terrace, which honors the 2021 women’s team and its runner-up finish at the 2021 NCAA National Championships. It makes me feel like I am rowing for something other than myself and that I am part of a really special program.” “It solidifies the legacy of Hamilton Rowing and ensures that we know we are upholding a program that past team members worked so hard to build. We row for each other, and the pictures and trophies remind us that this applies to current and past members,” Kantrowitz said. “Having a space for the athletes to share emphasizes the team aspect of this sport. She loves that the room features photos of past team members and the program’s trophy wall. The team room is a new favorite spot for many rowers like Elizabeth Kantrowitz ’23, a member of the women’s varsity eight boat and the Continentals’ 2021 NCAA Championship runner-up squad. The new space includes a team room, a coxswain’s electronic station, a coach’s office, bathrooms, and complete audio and visual services, including Wi-Fi. “Because we have a state-of-the-art program, we needed - and our rowers deserved - a state-of-the-art facility.” It features the Class of 2022 Boat Bay, a space made possible by the generosity of Hamilton rowing families, which can store up to 10 eight-person boats, 10 four-person boats, and oars. In addition to numerous alumni, parents, and families who made gifts toward the new facility, the project’s lead donors included Stathis Andris P’96,’98, Stacy Andris Skalski ’98, and Jeff ’71 and Claudia Little P’04. Those first rowers turned into ardent alumni who garnered support for the program as it grew into a varsity sport and as both teams became national contenders. Hamilton Rowing has been powered by passion since its founding days as a club sport in 1983. It took a team of people to make that happen.” That team metaphor is appropriate for how we built this building. If you’re not perfectly in sync and rowing together at the same time, at the same speed, and in the same direction, you’re not going anywhere. “Rowing is a team sport, and in some ways a team sport more than any other. “Because we have a state-of-the-art program, we needed - and our rowers deserved - a state-of-the-art facility,” said President David Wippman. Andris Boathouse, located on the Erie Canal in Rome, N.Y., was dedicated on May 14 with an energetic crowd of student-athletes, alumni, coaches, parents, and Rome city officials on hand to celebrate the occasion. The boathouse is named in memory of Jason Andris ’96, who gave his time and talents to the program as a coxswain, mentor, patron, and student coach for the Continentals. Nearly four decades later, Hamilton’s nationally recognized varsity rowing program now has a place to call its own.
